<About Accommodation>

  • Q How many people can stay in one room?
    A Each room can accommodate a maximum of 2 adults. All rooms are equipped with king-sized Simmons beds.
  • Q Can children stay at the facility?
    A We are sorry, but guests under the age of 15 are not permitted to stay.
  • Q Is long-term stay available?
    A Yes, it is available. Rooms are equipped with facilities such as a kitchen and washing machine, as well as wireless internet, allowing for a comfortable long-term stay.
  • Q Can the entire facility be reserved for private use?
    A We regret to inform you that private use of the entire facility (chapel, beach, etc.) is currently not available. However, it is possible to reserve all four guest rooms exclusively.
  • Q Can I be placed on a waiting list for cancellations?
    A We do not offer a waiting list for cancellations. If a cancellation occurs, it will be automatically reflected on the availability page of the reservation site. Please check there for updates.
  • Q What are the check-in and check-out times?
    A Check-in is from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM, and check-out is from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM. After 6:00 PM, self-check-in is available.
    Early check-in before 3:00 PM and late check-out, as well as facility use outside these times, are not available.
    *If you wish to check out before 8:00 AM, please inform the staff in advance.
  • Q Can meals be provided?
    A Yes, reservations are accepted. There is a restaurant on the second floor of the reception building.
    Some accommodation plans include meal sets or in-room dining options such as BBQ and shabu-shabu. Please consider these plans as well.
  • Q Can I use the pool and Coral Beach before check-in or after check-out?
    A Use of facilities before check-in is not allowed, but after check-out, you may use the pool, Coral Beach, and shower room until 2:00 PM.
    *Please note that use may be restricted or denied depending on reservation or maintenance conditions. Guests are responsible for managing their own belongings and valuables during this time.
  • Q Can I use mobile phones and the internet?
    A All major carriers are available throughout the premises, but signal reception may vary inside rooms. SoftBank may have weaker signals in northern Okinawa, and some rooms may experience poor reception. Thank you for your understanding.
    Wi-Fi access points are available in all guest rooms, allowing you to connect to the internet with your laptop or smartphone.
  • Q I'm not good with bugs. What should I expect?
    A KAYATSUMA OKINAWA is surrounded by rich nature. Depending on the season and weather, geckos, frogs, insects from the Yanbaru region, moths, and spiders may enter the premises or buildings. While we take measures using eco-friendly repellents, we cannot guarantee complete prevention.
    If bugs enter your room, please use the provided insect spray or contact our staff. Note: geckos are considered "house guardians" in Japan and are not treated as pests at our villa. Our staff cannot remove them (and they may be difficult to catch). Please be cautious when opening windows, especially during bug-heavy seasons or at night.
  • Q Can I send luggage to KAYATSUMA OKINAWA before arrival, or ship it from there after my stay?
    A If you wish to send your luggage in advance, please ensure it is shipped with sufficient time. Be sure to write the name of the reservation holder and check-in date in the remarks section of the shipping slip and email us the tracking number.
    If your luggage contains potentially hazardous items like spray cans or lithium batteries, or if the contents are unclear, it may be sent by sea, which could take up to a week. For return shipments, we only accept cash-on-delivery via Yamato (Kuroneko) or Japan Post (Yu-Pack).
  • Q What is the cancellation policy?
    A We do not charge cancellation fees for flight cancellations due to typhoons. However, cancellations due to other reasons will incur fees as follows:
    21 days prior – 30%
    7 days prior – 50%
    3 days prior – 80%
    Same day or no contact – 100%
    *The same cancellation fees apply to meals, flower arrangements, spa treatments, cakes, etc.
  • Q Do guest rooms have clothes dryers?
    A Luxury and Premium rooms are equipped with clothes dryers.
  • Q Can I use fireworks?
    A For safety reasons, fireworks are not permitted on the premises of our villa.

  • Q Do you offer spa or massage services?
    A We offer Thai-style massages by Koland Boutique Spa.
    The spa has won the World Luxury Spa Award for stand-alone facilities in Southeast Asia in 2015 and 2018, providing a world-class luxury spa experience.
  • Q When is the villa pool available for use?
    A The pool is generally available from March to the end of November, but this may change depending on weather conditions. Please note that the pool may be closed due to weather, water temperature, or maintenance during the season.
  • Q Are marine sports available?
    A Yes, we offer information on marine sports. Please refer to the activities page on our website.
    Activities are available at the KAYATSUMA OKINAWA beach and nearby beaches.
    Enjoy marine activities in the beautiful Okinawan sea.
    Please note that there are no lifeguards on the beach.
    Also, activities may be canceled depending on the weather. Thank you for your understanding.
  • Q Do you rent snorkeling gear?
    A Yes, snorkeling gear is available for rent (with a fee). We offer masks, fins, marine socks, and life jackets. However, quantities are limited depending on size and are provided on a first-come, first-served basis. We recommend bringing your own equipment. Please also prepare your own swimwear, floats, and sunscreen.
  • Q What kitchen equipment and utensils are available for self-catering in the room?
    A Each room is equipped with a full kitchen suitable for long stays and self-catering.


    Appliances: IH stove (up to 3 burners), microwave oven, refrigerator, freezer, coffee maker
    Rentals: IH-compatible saucepan and frying pan, knives, cutting board, cooking chopsticks, ladle, bowls, pot, dish soap, sponge
    Tableware: 2 large plates, 2 small plates, 2 glasses, 2 red/white wine glasses, 2 champagne glasses, wine opener, cutlery (knife, fork, spoon), chopsticks
    *Please bring any other utensils and seasonings you may need.
  • Q What bathroom amenities are provided?
    A Shampoo, conditioner, body soap, cotton pads, hairbrush, disposable toothbrush, razor, cotton swabs, skincare set, and laundry detergent are provided.
  • Q Are there any convenience stores or supermarkets nearby?
    A The nearest convenience store and supermarket are about a 6–7 minute drive away. Small shops nearby offer basic food and daily goods during weekday daytime. In Nago City (about 25 minutes by car), you will find large supermarkets like AEON and San-A.
  • Q Are there restaurants nearby?
    A There is one Western-style restaurant within walking distance (closed on Thursdays). Other dining options require a car, but we are happy to provide recommendations based on your preferences.
  • Q Is transportation service available?
    A We offer a paid private shuttle service from Naha Airport with advance reservation.
    Pick-up and drop-off are also available to and from locations other than Naha Airport, as long as either the departure or destination is KAYATSUMA OKINAWA.
    (e.g., sightseeing stops on the way, or drop-off at another hotel after your stay)
    Even if you're not comfortable driving, you can travel to KAYATSUMA OKINAWA with ease. Our driver will pick you up at your designated location and assist with your luggage.

    If you're using the Yanbaru Express Bus from Naha Airport to Unten Port or Hotel Belparaiso (approx. 25 minutes on foot), we offer free shuttle service between those stops and KAYATSUMA OKINAWA with advance reservation.

  • Q How long does it take to get there by car from the airport?
    A It takes about 90–100 minutes by expressway under normal traffic. After exiting at Kyoda Interchange, use the newly opened Nago East Road (free expressway) to avoid congestion in Nago City.
    Note: Older car navigation systems may not recognize KAYATSUMA OKINAWA or the address. Please use the map code: 485 630 828. Follow the signs from the flashing light about 1km before Unten Ferry Terminal.
  • Q How long does it take to get to Churaumi Aquarium and Nakijin Castle Ruins?
    A It takes about 25 minutes by car to Churaumi Aquarium and about 20 minutes to Nakijin Castle Ruins from KAYATSUMA OKINAWA.
  • Q How long does it take to get to Kouri Island?
    A It takes about 15 minutes via the newly opened Warumi Bridge and Yagaji Island. Since some older GPS systems may not have Warumi Bridge registered, please follow road signs for guidance.
  • Q How long does it take to get to Junglila Okinawa?
    A It takes about 15 minutes by car from KAYATSUMA OKINAWA to Junglila Okinawa.
